Mrs. Stefanie Nelson is a proud San Antonio native and a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is a Texas Certified Teacher for Early Childhood through sixth grade and completed her educator preparation through Northside ISD and Randolph ISD, gaining experience teaching kindergarten through second grade while supporting students across multiple elementary grade levels.

At Starr Family Jewish Day School, Mrs. Nelson loves helping young learners build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. She is passionate about creating a classroom where students feel encouraged, supported, and excited to grow academically and personally each day.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Nelson enjoys spending time with her family, journaling, taking long walks, reading, and getting creative with arts and crafts. She also loves playing with her adorable toy poodle, Molly. She is grateful to be part of the Starr JDS family and looks forward to making each school year meaningful and memorable for her students.
